Mochima National Park

Mochima National Park covers an area of 94,935 hectares, or approximately 949 square kilometers. It is located on the northeastern coast of Venezuela and includes a marine coastal zone with numerous beaches surrounded by lush vegetation. The park is composed of several almost Virgin Islands and islets. Mochima’s beaches are known for their warm, clear waters and white sand, making them ideal for water sports such as scuba diving, snorkeling and sailing. 

Some of Mochima’s most popular beaches are Blanca Beach, Colorada Beach, Arapito Beach, Manare Beach and El Faro.

Visitors should take advantage of the park’s many water sports opportunities, including scuba diving and snorkeling, to explore the coral reefs and marine life that abound in the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea. It is also important to note that visitors should respect the park’s natural environment and be careful not to leave trash or disturb the local flora and fauna.

How to Enjoy the Destination:

  • Enjoy the beaches and coves in the area, such as Playa Blanca, Playa Colorada and Playa El Faro.
  • Perform water activities, such as snorkeling, scuba diving and kayaking.
  • Visit nearby islands, such as Isla de Plata and Isla de Los Frailes, and get to know their tourist attractions.
